barra seaon opens cyclone declared
Hi all,

how convenient, the first day of barra season and a cyclone is declared off cardwell, to add salt to the wounds it even gets a girls name.

I bet all the handbrakes are happy about that!

At least everything is getting a good flush.

Cam

Right or wrong I was heading out this afternoon to chase a Barra.

The Rain didn't stop me.....the flooding didn't stop me....the wind didn't stop me....but the bloody cyclone sure did!Sad

Mayor up there was on the wireless saying how it passed over the top of them without them even knowing. A few tree that were loosen after all the rain but by all accounts most damage has and will be done by the flooding from the rain.

I can get into town but many can't. Ingham is cut N.S & W (oh and of course to the east by that big fire break we call the pacific!

I'm pretty safe at the beach though! Putting up with mozzies & sandflies has to pay off somehow.Big Grin
